Hey Darlings! I’ve been browsing the mags to get ideas for holiday party attire. A few of these trends are ridiculous, IN MY OPINION! I also had a client explain to me that she started following a “style expert”, bought a mini leopard skirt and faux leather circle skirt as was suggested, and didn’t know what to wear them with. She explained they just sat in the closet and she felt ridiculous in them. The problem was my client, a early 40’s beautiful mother of four, followed a trend that, IN MY OPINION*, was meant for someone in their 20’s. And no, I don’t think wearing tights makes it appropriate for a mature women to wear a mini-skirt with her butt hangin’ out. ;). Don’t let this happen to you for fashion sake.
3 Things to Consider Before Following Fashion Trends:
- Is it age appropriate?
- Does it distract from the “beauty” of you?(like the eye-liner and wig below)
- Does the item fit your brand/style personality/body-shape?
