3 Tips to Survive Your Holiday Parties in Comfort and Style
This morning at 5:30 am I was on Andrew Z in the Morning show for Toledo, OH. Here is a little bit of what we covered. THANKS to Andrew Z for having me on his radio show!
- Show up in style! Better to go a little overdressed than under dressed. This is a time where you can really let your personality shine. Don’t think that because no one really dresses up at work that they won’t be dressed up at a party. It’s so uncomfortable when you stick out like a sore UNFASHIONABLE thumb. Don’t invite work jeans and that warm over-sized sweater to the party…they aren’t allowed.
- When shopping, find your perfect style and fit that works for your body shape. Then replicate it in another color, pattern, or texture. Then you can mix and match jewelry and shoes to make it look like more outfits. KEY: Shop in the same color family for easy mix-and-match(like in photo below). For guys, buy two suits or two blazers. This will keep you prepared for last minute invites.
- Embellished coats are a must for a STAR entrance…especially in cold weather climates. It’s the first thing people will see when you walk in the door. Then to keep from being cold you can drape it over your legs at dinner if needed. Men, you can offer your coat to the ladies for a chivalrous gesture. OH YA!
